I just got home this week from Greece and my Europe travels. I was gone 6 weeks and being back feels great. At the airport, when I was going through the passport check points at JFK, it put a huge smile on my face. I was cheesing. For 3 reasons mainly; 1. I get to see hubby soon.

The literal definition of that is “the feeling of disorientation experienced by someone who is suddenly subjected to an unfamiliar culture, way of life, or set of attitudes.” I wouldn’t say this is all unfamiliar, it’s just very fast paced. I’ve had moments where I weave in and out of happiness. Find myself sinking. This is strange to me, because my experience was so wonderful. I loved every single day of my trip. Growth came in many forms. And I’m accepting this is one as well…

I think this is beautiful in many ways. Home is a feeling as much as a physical location. It could be with a person or place. Home is where you can go to, no matter what, and feel accepted.

Home is people. Not a place. If you go back there after the people are gone, then all you can see is what is not there any more.
