The 5 Best NFL Inspired Snacks to Serve at Your Next Football Party

With football season upon us, there are so many ways to get creative with snacks served during your next game night. Fan or not, there’s no avoiding it, so you’re best to join in on the fun! I appreciate sports and have a very athletic and sports-dedicated fiancé. I feel like many people can relate to my scenario, and since I love the art of entertaining, the way I join in the spirit of the game is with snacks!

There are some basic go-tos that most people serve like chips, dip, pizza, and wings, but these are played out! Here are some ultimate football snack ideas that will take game-day to the next level.

Cowboy Caviar: Here’s a healthier alternative to nachos. Use avocados, beans, corn, cheddar, green onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and anything else you want to add for flavor. Chop up your ingredients and mix. Then serve with chips. I like to drizzle a fresh lemon or lime into this mix.

Double Chocolate Football Cupcakes: Go ahead treat yourself with chocolate on chocolate. I buy mine readymade with no frosting, and buy team-color frostings to let my guests add their own team colors. This gets very fun & creative!

Pizza Dip: It’s not a football party unless there’s pizza. Upgrade your pizza game with this pizza dip recipe. Use a casserole dish and pile in the tomato sauce, lots of cheese, and toppings. Let it bake and serve with sides of bread or crackers. Tip: Decorate your toppings like a football or use your team’s colors!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Meatballs: This could make for a lighter, healthier, but just-as-delicious alternative to Buffalo wings. Use ground chicken with green onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and other spices or herbs of your choosing. Round them into small meatballs and pour the buffalo sauce all over them, then slow cook!

Watermelon Football Helmet: Put your carving skills to test. Carve a full sized watermelon into the shape of football headgear. It’s a lot easier than it sounds. Then fill up the helmet with chunks of fruit – better yet, let it soak in your choice of spirit, I’d use vodka.
