NYFW What I Wore ♡ The Doost ║ Fashion Style Tips & More

The best advice I’ve ever gotten on fashion and style is to OWN YOUR LOOK!  In my Middle Eastern case, I wanted to connect with culture in fashion terms. So I turned to one of the most memorable collections I’ve seen during NYFW at Pier 59 Studios, NAVEDA Couture by Amy Devan. A designer who’s taken the most beautiful clothing traditions and upgraded them into couture wear that drips of elegance and a beautiful historic culture. NAVEDA Couture is inspired by Amy Devan’s experiences, travels, curiosity and wanting to make an effortless, yet luxe statement.

My day was filled with shows at Pier 59 studios and highlighted the Jay Godfrey SS16 collection.

Over the seasons it’s normal change what your style gravitate towards. Gold accessories, red lips, and dresses are some of my favorite looks — from fancy to casual, and even loud!

 

When I am putting looks together, I dare myself to make something work. I always look for the most interesting silhouette or something that’s a little off, but I have to figure it out. I have to make it me. I think that’s the thrill in fashion.

A twist on my version of the little black dress — this is my perfect little navy dress! Probably one of the softest dresses I own ♡ I love dressing it up or down and pairing it with accessories. Lately, I’ve traded in some of my statement jewelry for statement pieces like this vintage kimono. For this look, I’ve added some of that bohemian style I adore so much.
