Another glorious NY Fashion Week is upon us at long last. Fashion Week is always one of our favorite times of year and we’re excited to get things started with The Blonds collection – a daring sequined style collection with a Sasha Fierce attitude that dominates the stage for the famed mannequin maker Roostein and fashion designer Phillipe Blond’s The Blonds collection.
For the first time in its almost 60 year history, Rootstein, the famed mannequin maker, has created both a male and female mannequin from one individual: The Blonds fashion designer Phillipe Blond. ‘We’d been planning this collaboration with Rootstein for years and they chose Phillipe for his chameleon-like ability to transform…’
This collection is fabulously inspired by Phillipe’s personal style. The outfits were fantastic, glamorous, and on-stage worthy!
I loved how each mannequin had personality. Even Cat Woman made an appearance.
What a way to kick off NYFW for SS16. These outfits were made for the stage performer — wink wink Beyonce cough cough Sasha Fierce.
