Eating Vegetarian in Vancouver

Eating Vegetarian in Vancouver

It’s no secret that I love good food and a mecca of good food is Vancouver, Canada. Nestled in the mountains and touched by the sea, Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places in North America. It’s especially best when you come in the summer, that is unless you love the rain. Whether it be the summer, spring, fall, or winter you will find good food in Vancouver. And since it is all about those west coast vibes, you will find delicious and nutritious Vegetarian food all year round. I have a few personal favorites!

  1. Heirloom: This upscale hipster style joint has delicious and creative ways of making you say yum. They use seasonal produce and make their dishes interesting and delicious. It’s like your getting a good home cooked meal, only better. My favorite time to visit is for brunch. The fresh white interior and whimsical farm parafanalia brightens your morning. I personally love their vegan buckwheat pancakes with a creamy and delicious cashew sauce. It’s open for brunch and dinner. Stop on by for good eats and good vibes in Vancouver’s Fairview Slopes area.

  1. Fujia: Though Fujia is not a vegetarian restaurant it has a delicious vegetarian selection. From their rolls to their bento boxes you can find super affordable and super delicious Japanese food at its many locations. Vancouver is full of amazing sushi restaurants and this is just one of them. A hugely attractive thing about Fujia is the price point. You can eat with your family and spend very little. The best part is that it is delicious. Fresh ingredients make a fresh taste. I’m not going to lie, I’ve spent a lot of time at Fujia in my lifetime!

  1. The Foundation: Let’s get down to it. Hipsters make some super good food. This here restaraunt carries the best freaking nachos ever, the Utopian Nachos. They are loaded with real cheese and bits of corn, black beans, and jalepenos. The portion is huge so you should probably come with some one else. Order a drink (brought to you in an assortment of interesting glasses) and eat up. If you don’t want nachos they have all kinds of creative dishes involving fruit and beans and other tasty morsels. It’s walls are covered with quotes calling to revolution. The tables have candles and the servers deliver hipster service. All the while rap plays your way through your evening. It’s an experience worth having in Vancouvers hipster heart, the Main Street Neighborhood.

2301 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5T 3C9, Canada
Open: 12pm-1am
(Tip: if you want the Nachos you have to come after 4:30p)
