Over the Horizon: The Daily Doost

Over the Horizon: The Daily Doost

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

-Dale Carnegie

There is this magic about looking beyond, about that glimpse that’s over the horizon … maybe that’s where dreams and ambitions stem from … the would or could be…. Most of us crave to be there so intensely that we neglect any joys that are presented to us in the moment.

When you grow up by the sea, you spend a good deal of time looking at the horizon. You wonder what on Earth the waves might bring – and where the sea might deposit you – until one day you know you have lived between two places, the scene of arrival and the point of departure.

-Andrew O’Hagan

At a young age I learned that I create my own path. I am the only one who can turn my life into what I want it to be. When I fell in love, I understood how important it is to appreciate the present, every moment. I understood that the journey is who you share it with, that every goal I reached inspired me to push further. When looking over to my horizon, I became familiar with ambition and determination. But because of the moments I have experienced, emerged a dream to make this world a better place.
