Eat A Lot and Stay Healthy this Thanksgiving!

Eat A Lot and Stay Healthy this Thanksgiving!

This is the season of Pumpkin spice lattes, pies, and big Thanksgiving feats!! Which means my dress size is in danger of moving up a size.

To preemptively combat this hanus crime against my closet, I’ve decided to challenge myself. You should join because the more the merrier and after all, this is the season of merriment!

push up challenge

These are my Favorite Few Health and Fitness Challenges!

Facebook likes for push-ups. I love me a good bit of torture, this was definitely it. I figured not many people would like it … but, I was wrong … I am up to 72 likes and counting. Since I thought no one would, I said I would do how ever many push ups there are at the end of the day — everyday for a week. I highly recommend the challenge, DO THIS, it’s a kick in the core in the right direction!

Drink more. I was recently reading this “viral” article about a woman who drank a gallon of water a day for a month. I thought ‘hey, I should do that.’ Before I dove into this challenge (pun intended) I figured I’d better educate myself on drinking water in a healthy fashion. You can in fact over-hydrate and it’s not a good thing. So I researched and found that women should drink 2.2 liters of water a day. I know I haven’t been hitting this mark. To reverse this and challenge myself, for the next month I will be drinking my 2.2 liters a day. Because my body does and will need it! Give this tall glass of health a go!

drink water

One healthy meal a day  for a month. We all eat at varying levels of healthy, to challenge yourself make sure that one meal a day is out of your comfort zone and healthier than your usual standard. When you do this, you are opening the doors to a healthier lifestyle without the stress of a complete overhaul. It’s a fun challenge and I’ve started mine with one raw meal a day (I made a bomb salad). Om nom nom nom your way to healthier days!
