How To Plan a Quick Getaway To Puerto Rico
Last Wednesday was my fiance Devin’s birthday and, when I took him out to dinner that evening, I surprised him with roundtrip tickets to Puerto Rico! I gave him 24 hours to pack and we left very, very early on Friday morning. We stayed in Fajardo, which is about a 45 minute drive east of the airport in San Juan. The flight is about 3 hours from NYC so (even though we were only there until Sunday evening), we were really able to optimize our beach time. We spent most of our time on a private beach that we discovered on Isla Icacos, an island that we got to by taking a 10-minute ride on a little boat.
