The Doost's Guide to Las Vegas

The Doost’s Guide to Las Vegas

The Doost takes on Vegas …

I was raised a Cali girl (now living in NYC) and Vegas was only a few hours away from me by car. The temptation had me coming back several times a year. I’ve stayed at many great hotels and walked what seems like every square foot of that bright light circus of a city, creating some of my best memories.

To us, the casinos were our red carpets and we always dressed to impress. So when I was asked to share my style tips by Vegas.com, my head spun wild with joy!

So where should you stay & play? … The Aria Hotel

When the Aria was built in 2009 they brought back the Vegas essence of fun, fashion, and vacation. Besides the fact it has some of the most comfortable beds in the city it also has some great hot spots like Haze and Liquid. So why travel around when you can have everything within the same building?

Get a package deal through Vegas.com. I’m talking flights, rooms, shows, spas, and more. Virtually anything you want to do in Vegas you can find deals on the site and they often offer massive discounts to groups.

How to take on a day at Aria? … poolside lounging at Liquid, lunch at Lemongrass, shopping, dinner at Javier’s, dancing the night away at Haze, and maybe some gambling if I’m feeling lucky.

Vegas style is about making an unforgettable statement and at The Concept Collective you’ll find all that and more. It’s like having my own personal shopper who introduces me to the best styles by new designers hitting the scene!

I recommend to browse Yumi Kim‘s selection because she pushes bold prints while keeping it comfortable. If you like colors and want to spice up your look then HazeCollections sunglasses might just be the perfect match for you. I love their SUN and EDGE collections and for the first time I own a pair of purple shades. For shoes, if you’re anything like me and need comfort, then check out the many styles of Riudavets. Take your look up a notch and try Beau&Ro handbags. My favorite part of these, besides the excellent quality, is that they’re a clutch that converts into a belt bag … a huge upgrade to the 90’s fannypack? Yes. Yes indeed <3

There are two looks to go for when you lounge poolside. One, the right bikini for your tan and two, the look that covers it until you get there. Liquid is one of my favorites because it’s like a day time concert, always a good time.

Pool & Lounge

After a morning lounging by the pool I like to show off my tan in a off-white dress with a pair of flats to keep me shopping in comfort. For my statement piece, I turn to a classic Chanel bag and tie it together with Tory Burch drop earrings! Next stop, Lemongrass for lunch!

Las Vegas Lunchin' & Shoppin'

My favorite part of the trip is my outfit for dinner and dancing. I like to go to Javier’s and spoil myself with Mexican cuisine and hand shaken margaritas. Then it’s time to hit the dance floor at Haze!

Colorfully Correct

My advice for your fashion style in Vegas is to pack right but as light as you can. That means plan your outfits in advance and take at least one alternative piece that you can mix up with your accessories. You don’t want to be the girl with 5 suitcases for a weekend trip. Be bold with it, add your personal touch, and keep it comfortable.
