What the Doost Matt Licari Jose Duran Rain Lanna Agatha brothersJose has a message and it stems from the inspiration his father provided their family. A hard working man who loves his children. Jose shares his memories of his father’s hard industrial labor and says his collection is a representation for the love and appreciation he has for his father.

The photo shoot for Duran Fall 2014 collection is inspired by the 1920’s school boy look from a time that portraits were rigidly staged and the subjects took on stoic glares out of necessity.

1920s portraitJose’s inspiration stems from the deep love he has for his people and family which carries into his bold fashion style. What he presents to the world is beautiful!

The models each wore the pieces with attitude; Jose seemed proud. Rain Dubilewski, Agatha Louisette, and Lanna Marie Rapaport shined as a unit and carried the energy onto their solo shots.

Jose was a great force bringing comfort into the attitude and softening up the male/female barriers. He was very involved with the process and directed with passion.

It’s always great to be in a room full of talented people bringing to life an inspiration. Being backstage is like witnessing a magician set up a trick before the camera captures the illusion.

Gina Doost, Jose Duran, and Matt Lecart shootingThe models walk in as a plain canvas, with the direction of the designers vision and the creative team at work, they create another world we see in print. They overcome difficult situations, work through the conditions, and utilize creative tools necessary to carry out the process. The variety of talents merge together to ultimately create the finished product.
