Milané Noir by Melanie Rodriguez: The WoW Factor!

Milane Noir

People who follow their dreams do more than just put themselves out there. They create a path for anyone who ever had a dream and continues to do so. They take lead and face their fears all while opening the path for you and me…

Last night, I attended Milané Noir’s ‘The Evolution of A Women’ fashion show. The talented designer Melanie Rodriguez showcased her Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection.

A collection composed of monochromatic fabrics, risqué detailing, and a feminine touch. Inspired by the growth of beautiful women around the globe.

Model Alejandra Escobar;

I love it! Makes me feel chiq and classy.

At the age of 22 Melanie’s beauty is more than what appeals to the eye. She has a bright ora surrounding her, destined to make her dreams come true. Her team consists of her loving supporting family and greatly talented friends. Each person has a deep connection with the designer.

As a journalist, the first question we ask is for the spelling of our interviewees name. We do this to make sure we address our guests the way they like. With Melanie I noticed the spelling differs from her brand and had to know why… the answer was love at first sight for me. It was respectfully humble.

I didn’t want to use my real name and Milané has a ring to it. Noir means ‘black’ in French and black is the black hole, which means the beginning. It’s where we all emerged from, it all started with a thought.

I think it’s beautiful when an artist can remove herself from her work and target her audience purely on her dreams and talents.

Fashion shows are everything they’re hyped up to be. Gorgeous people, great music and amazing clothes that dare to push boundaries!

Rules are meant to be broken!

My favorite place is backstage where all the magic happens. What I love most about it is that it isn’t all glitz & glamour or starving models. This place was filled with talented people and lots of empty pizza boxes. While Melanie was getting her make-up done I got the exclusive interview which gave me chills. Especially when she said,

I want it girl! I want it so bad! I can’t wait until this is full time!!

The best conversations take place where people are in their zone. Truth is spoken and I felt every bit of it. Melanie reminded me that first impressions are everything and she really delivered on her end.

Melanie takes pride in being a perfectionist. It’s the key ingredient to making dreams come true. It’s the ability, she says, that keeps her pushing forward. Her collection is meant to show that women can have it all!

Women can be sexy by showing a lot but on the reverse side still be chiq. There are some pieces that are 100% covered up showing you can be sexy doing both.

Before the ladies got ready to walk Melanie asks the final question..

Is everyone wearing heels?

The girls all rocked it down the catwalk in their fabulous wear and red soled heels

Melanie’s early years screamed stardom. Although she attended Catholic School for the most part she felt like she ”had to explore herself’ and continued at the Fashion Industry High School. There she had people who led her in the right direction. At the age of sixteen, when Melanie was dying to make the next best stylish baiting suit, her teacher forced her to make a wedding dress. That was the start of her television career. Judged by the talented Tim Gunn, he chose Melanie’s dress to be displayed in his showroom as well as having a feature on Fox.
