The OMG Dessert Goals Festival in Brooklyn · Because Dessert is Always a Good Idea
It’s pretty much the best day ever.
The city’s sweetest event, Dessert Goals, made its buzzy return to Brooklyn this month (August) for its first-ever summer edition! And let me let you it was OmG dessert heaven…
on Saturday, August 19th I was invited to their Media Preview Hour which meant first access before the public. Upon arrival, the block was packed with patrons lining up ready to indulge. Awkwardly, I walked pass all the dessert lovers and made my way to the front where I was greeted by lovely ladies with clip boards just as excited as me. After check in and a goodie bag from Macy’s — shout out for their sponsorship and beauty gift goodies!
Hosted at Dobbin St in Williamsburg, the two-day festival featured a stellar lineup carefully curated by festival founders Miraya Berke and Liang Shi to feature the most unique, delicious and Instagrammable desserts in the five boroughs.

The wild things at Black Tap debuted a special miniature version of their beloved Bam Bam shake, and Cupcake Market and Snowdays have created their own custom treats to help festival-goers reach peak indulgence.

About Dessert Goals
Dessert Goals is the bi-coastal phenomenon that unites dessert lovers from all walks of life. Launched in the fall of 2016 by friends and sweets-obsessed co-conspirators, Miraya Berke and Liang Shi, the festival features a curated squad of dessert vendors and activities in a beautiful, interactive space. And while indulging in a range of sugary treats is the go-to move, the festival is also a foodie photographer’s dream – from an outdoor garden designed specifically for Instagram, to a roof deck with sweeping views of the city, guests can fill their bellies, hang with friends and get their ‘gram on.
♥ So be sure to check their site for the next big event and gather your Dessert Squad for the most ultimate cheat day ever!
