Growing up, in my childhood years, Michael Jackson was everything! He sparked music, redefined videos, and kept it original. From him, I learned that it is alright to be different — in fact, if I may be different enough I could impact others and the world in a special way ✰

It’s been 6 years now and it seems like the skies have been up to something lately, maybe there’s something very holy about this time in our lives.

It seems that Michael made a special appearance in the skies over Goochland County, Virginia during a June 23 lightning storm. Jackson died June 25, 2009. Many believe the clouds and lighting formed in The King of Pop’s image — dancing in the skies.

I remember gathering around the television with the kids in my neighborhood waiting for Michael’s music video to come on — he was perfection — the best performer of ALL time!
So at times — he seemed like a king, a god, and just purely immortalized because he was that special — but when media changed its course and started digging for what they interpreted as ‘what sells’ — fabrication of rumors also became a thing. It seemed that media changed from highlighting the good to digging for the ugly because for some reason that’s what the public wanted — Michael was at the center of it. He experienced the highs and lows of this change experiencing both spectrums of media’s reality. Most people forget he’s just human with flaws and all as well.
