NYFW Essentials

New York Fashion Week is here, which means running around the city while trying to stay camera ready. So what’s in my purse this week? Check out my essentials:

NYFW is always such a blur — between fashion shows, events and presentations, it’s so easy for it to feel like your life is on fast forward.

But of course, a girl on the go always wants to look fabulous, so here’s a list of my NYFW essentials to stay picture perfect and prepared this week.

Get camera-ready with make-up touch-ups
Make sure you’re always prepared for a photo opp with face powder, lipstick and a compact for touch ups throughout the day. I use Cargo HD powder to keep my face shine-free, because let’s face it, when you’re walking fast on NYC streets, you need a little extra coverage. My lipstick is by Bite Beauty and this year, I’m opting for Tannin, a classic shade of marsala red.

Keep your hair game on point
For your hair, grab Kevin Murphy hairspray and Young.Again serum. Between these two products, you’ll cover all your bases. Use the hairspray to keep your mane in check, or to add a little extra volume. Young.Again is great for smoothing down flyaways, plus it’ll protect your hair from the dry winter air! Be sure to throw some extra bobby pins and hair ties into your bag while you’re at it.

Document your experiences
Be sure to pack a camera! Whether you use your cell phone or a larger camera, capturing moments throughout the day is an absolute must. I love my little Konica camera because I’ll get to experience fashion week all over again after I develop my film.

Bring it all together
Last but not least, pack everything into a purse that complements your outfit for the day. My go-to is this handbag from Rag & Bone’s latest collection.
