Bonding is The Perfect Ingredient To Any Successful Vacation

Bonding is The Perfect Ingredient To Any Successful Vacation

Feliz Agosto Doosters! ( Happy August Doosters)

We are finally into the month of August, which means that is the last month of freedom for any student who is in school. I, for one, like any other college student is excited to enter another year of studying and countless of papers to work on.  As I enjoyed the fabulous paradise of the Dominican Republic, I realized many things on my trips. Most people think that location is the most important thing of a successful vacation and although it is partially true, the key part is bonding.

Although I wasn’t in the lavish parts like Punta Cana or Santo Domingo, where majority of tourists occasionally vacation at, I truly enjoyed the moments I had with the people I encountered in El Mamey, Los Hidalgos. I spent more time with my father’s side of the family and spent time with my cousins that I barely see. I heard countless stories of my father when he was younger and his childhood friend completely had me dying of laughter practically the whole trip. Also, I learned how to adapt to the marvelous customs of the glorious food that I ate and was able to view how it was made. The whole point of a vacation is to be able to enjoy yourself and make many interesting memories. I am fortunate to be able to experience two weeks away from a busy city and adapt to a small town where most people know each other.

The people that you surround yourself with impacts many things that happen in your life. Feeling the comfort in the Dominican Republic, where there is no pressure or the constant hustle of people rushing to get to places automatically makes you cherish the little things in life. For example, a smile, a laugh, and the warmth you get of being together with people you care. And that my dearly Doosters, is how I was able to enjoy a beautiful vacation in the Dominican Republic. I hope you are able to make as many memorable moments as I did this summer and share in the comments below. Enjoy your August!

Sincerely,

Emily Sarita.
