Karolyn Pho Talks Fashion, Inspiration, and Puppies
This is the designer’s Runway Debut showcasing her Fall Winter 2014 collection. I love her LA vibes (my hometown) and I’m excited for all that’s to come from Pho. The fun energy she exudes is reflected in her collection. I caught up to her backstage for this interview:
The journey of a mystic searching to explain and rationalize fate by the way of kinetic power and transcendence…portal to the unknown or outer space. This ancient and innate human curiosity – a need for more – connects to a deeper need for futurism.
Backstage is a mess made in heaven with assistants, makeup artists, manicurist, hairstylist, close friends, press, and photographers filling the space with PR tracking the action. Special thanks to the staff and manicurists with Morgan Taylor. I’m obsessed with great nails and they know how to get it right with “sophistication in a bottle.”
Morgan Taylor…the NEW standard in Professional Nail Lacquer, the crème de la crème of nail color, developed by professionals for you.
I appreciate her selection of shoes which are from Very Volatile in Los Angeles. There are two concepts, nude or black sandals with some rocking black socks. I love seeing the same shoe worn by all models in a show because it makes it more of a beautiful unit rather a beautiful mess.
The collection is light and basic made for cool and relaxed girls.
