Fashion Week Gem: Milk Studios’ MADE Presentation NYFW2014

Fashion is a passion and Milk Studios knows just how to present it. Tonight we attended the womenswear collection presentation and were mesmerized by the concept of ‘presentation.’ Unlike a ‘show,’ a presentation has  designers showcasing their collection with models standing or walking close to the crowd. The concept is ideal because as an audience you get to view the outfits from many angles. The effect allows you to admire each piece for much longer and whatever way you like!

Calla

Fun! Cute! Lovable!! These words were all over my emotions. This collection might be my favorite because it literally makes me smile with so much happiness. The outfits are all must haves. I can’t wait to see more from this designer. The collection is sophisticated with dashes of fun, and reminds me of Gwen Stefani’s brand LAMB.

I love the model selections. The girls gave the outfits personality and were lovely to photograph.

Harbison

The designer used a similar elegance like Prada & Channel would have been proud. If Gaga toned it down a bit this level would suit her well. This collection is pure magnificence highlighting a bit of old Hollywood meets today’s fashion world. I love the top hats the models are rocking with their outfits, reminding me of Charlie Chaplin.

Unique in the way it’s structured. When one aspect is big, like the gold leaf gloves, the rest is toned down creating the basic chic we all love so much!

Jonathan Simkha

This collection speaks to me in the way I admire architectural design. But the difference here is it is constructed on the body. What I mean by that is Jonathan Simkha incorporates beautiful lines in his pieces really complimenting the body’s figure.

The lines are straight, diagonal, criss cross and all over the place like the perfect structure built to make your outfit. Unique and a show stopper. I love that all the models had the same pair of heels on, it looked stylish, supportive, and much more comfortable than the heels I’m currently wearing.

The stage looks like a splash of beautiful girls from all over the globe. I love presentations! It allows my eyes to see all details and the more I see the more I love.

Nellie Partow

Soft pastels meet fierce attitude! Business woman attire that’s sure to impress. Here again I love that all models are wearing the same heels, a soft gray almost nude suede pump with the exception of one killer aviator outfit made for the likes of Amelia Earhart.

The beat the ladies are walking to for a moment even reminds me of Beyonce’s lyric “working 9-5 to stay alive” I can’t help but have Beyoncé fever and with that said the music really compliments the style allowing the onlookers imagination to have an experience of their own.
