Even if you’re not a big sports fan, it’s important to pay attention to the big games, important players, and who wins. Nelson Mandela said:

Tonight is the College football championship game a.k.a. the Vizio BCS National Championship game. Here are a few basics to help you watch the game and talk about it like a champ.

Tonight’s game takes place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California near Los Angeles between the Florida State Seminoles and the Auburn Tigers from Alabama. You can watch it on ESPN starting at 8:30 Eastern time.
Florida State is ranked #1 in the country because they’ve been destroying opponents all year with an average score of about 53-11 to go undefeated with 13 wins and zero losses.
The best player on Florida State is Quarterback Jameis Winston (“Famous Jameis”) who turns 20 years old today (Happy Birthday!)
This was his first season playing after spending his freshman year on the practice team.
Winston has been the most dominant player in all of college football this year and won the Heisman Trophy as a result.
Tre Mason Auburn Running Back
Auburn earned their #2 ranking by beating the 2-time-defending champion Alabama in a last second miracle ending.
Their best play is to pretend like they’re going to throw the ball and then they run it instead. It’s called “The Option” because the Quarterback makes the defense choose what they think is going to happen (run or pass) and then the Quarterback has the option of using the other. They do this very well.
Tre Mason is Auburn’s best player. He is an outstanding running back and has gained more than 500 yards in his last 2 games for an average of over 250 yards per game. This is a phenomenal achievement. 100 yards in a game is considered excellent.
Auburn is expected to lose by 10 points, but they have been winning difficult games against difficult opponents all year.
