Believe in dE Impossible by Victor dE Souza NYFW│SS17
Victor dE Souza once again made an epic statement — this time it’s about achieving the impossible. His collection stemmed from a place he titled “Believe in dE Impossible” and what a journey it was!
Everything about it was exciting, at times questionable, and most definitely memorable 🙏🏾✨
I am exploring the future of fashion through the eyes of the millennials, in their strength to overcome the impossible and in having the courage to stand for what they believe in.

The collection had me at the edge of my seat — dE Souza truly displayed an array of impossibilities turned reality and I love it!!
In doing so — his collection reminded me of two of my favorite childhood memories; Interview with the Vampire and the artist formerly known as Prince. Wait, I lie. It’s a combination of 3 of my favorite childhood obsessions – it’s about them UNICORNS 🦄🦄🦄
Side note: Let’s put more men in skirts!!
One thing is for sure — I should have stored my 90’s wardrobe and memorabilia (here’s looking at you Pokemon) because like Britney Bitch … it’s back.
I ran into two of my favorite girls from New Jersey ~ BHG★The Big Haired Girls
I attended the show with Krista Nerestant who immediately said of De Souza’s collection:
Very Carey Bradshaw!
My favorite pieces consisted of the embellished embroideries. The use of the animal stitches — unicorns, wolves, and birds — are truly amazing. It took each piece to another level!
I’m loving the use of thin socks with heels too — because hey they’re comfortable!!! The soft colored prints are calming and the touch of unicorns taps into my obsession. Why — because beautiful rare things exist and De Souza has a way of bringing them to life.
DJ Monique played an incredible set — smooth transitions. I even noticed the models walking at a slower pace, a move that worked because of how she dropped the beat. Bravo!.
The collection was daring in all the right ways. What I wasn’t a big fan of were the plastic skirts or the face masks — but if I had to wear a face mask, I would wear Victor De Souza because he makes it look good!
I mean to pop of color & unicorns ♥
Victor De Souza is a legend in the making — watch out NYFW.
