The Rebirth of Hope With the Pink Lotus Foundation // Free Breast Cancer Treatment
Life is beautiful, but some days are difficult. Through those days, strangers can surprise you.
I believe in the magic of people — the kindness they display and the love they help spread. Through the Pink Lotus Foundation volunteers gather to help save lives by providing free breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment for uninsured, underinsured and underprivileged women.
Billions of dollars have been invested by nonprofit and for-profit organizations to find the cure to breast cancer. Helpless women without insurance or sufficient coverage face lack of care, delayed care, uncertainty, and sadly, death from breast cancer on a daily basis. The Pink Lotus Foundation provides free care to screen for, diagnose, and treat breast related illnesses.
… and it’s all in the name …
The pink lotus flower is considered to be the supreme lotus. Many civilizations have associated the lotus flower with rebirth and purity. One of the reasons that the lotus flower is considered so sacred is due to their daily cycle; they emerge slowly from dirty, muddy ponds over a period of a few days → then open all in the morning and close their petals in the late afternoon.
Despite, emerging from such a muddy and dirty environment, the lotus flower remains clean; and not only this it is beautiful. The Pink Lotus Foundation provides just that including hope for the ones who lost all hope — the rebirth of the heart.
The video below titled Vegas In 24, is a never-before-attempted 365-mile one-day bicycle challenge. Proving more so that the Pink Lotus Foundation is one of the most unique and epic breast cancer charity fundraisers ever!
