I stopped by the Renwick Hotel to see the PR gals from the LRL Group. They always find the right kind of way to lure me in — I love it!
They had a spacious and luxurious hotel room in Midtown East with a balcony, delicious trays of food, bubbly drinks, and complimentary manicures from My Spa 2Go — well played LRL, well played.
Are you NYFW ready?
I spoke to the inspiring and passionate designer Kesi, whose vision is about empowerment — she shared that her brand is about the people. The whole core is ethical fashion — it’s about empowering the people part of the production. Fare wages are only the beginning of it.

Kesi points out that she gets her product overseas at an affordable rate, significant to her upbringing in a third world country of Jamaica. Good intentions and purpose is something she learned from her mother. A woman whose heart is in the arts. Kesi followed those steps and took a longer route, but through that discovered the importance of empowering each other and of course — education.
Her education in business and finance has helped her emerge in the fashion field. Being able to balance both with her hands on attitude. she travels overseas to the product sites and even sits with her teams family over gatherings. The close bond is important to her.
