8 Things we can learn from Champions

In some ways, I think, we’re all athletes in pursuit of our own championships.

More commonly recognized as the goals we set for ourselves. Sports can be seen as a metaphor for life.

➀ Dream Big.

Each of us has a fire in our hearts for something. It’s our goal in life to find it and keep it lit.

 – Mary Lou Retton, Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics in 1984

As I watch each athlete tackle one course after another during the Olympic Games in Rio, I realize we may not be so different. We all have a dream – no matter what it may be – as we jump over hurdles to carry it out to it’s fullest potential. Nothing is more exciting when our dream becomes reality. Go on and get your geld medal!

➁ Recognize your obstacles as training.

Treat your obstacles as a training tool for the mind and body – this will help you appreciate the blood, sweat and tears going into any situation. Having a positive mindset has helped me appreciate my journey to any finish line. Don’t give up!
