The Futuristic Merge of Fashion & Tech with Danielle Fosberry
I enjoy meeting talents with hearts that glow — in this case, Danielle Fosberry, who shines bright with a futuristic vision that would impress any mathematician or scientist. Danielle designs unique accessories, and has used the latest 3D printing techniques to bring her collection to life (all while staying sustainable! So she’s good to planet Earth, Mother Nature, and our Universe ♥).
This Australian beauty finds her inspiration for her ultra-modern work in the books themselves, utilizing classic math and science to design for today’s fashionista. Danielle has a conceptual, fashion-forward vision, and her accessory pieces embody both the art and the utility of minimalistic design.
As fashion moves forward, and as technology is implemented in more and more aspects of our lives Danielle Fosberry has a creative approach to merging tech and fashion — putting her at the cutting edge of both fields.
The brand is built around the persona herself — Danielle Fosberry — and with a singular, powerful vision like hers, that seems only right!
The collection is a creation of something more new, more sustainable, and more customized — adding finishes of metallics and more. Danielle Fosberry’s favorite part of the design …
…creating work into items…
She loves the production part and that every piece has a story:
This collection was inspired by the golden ratio — all made with a mathematic and scientific approach.
● Project 1.618 ●
Welcome to Danielle Fosberry’s Project 1.618 collection. You may wonder what 1.618 is — basically it’s the golden ratio to life: a mathematical rendering of a pattern that occurs throughout our universe, in art and nature.
Utilizing the old into the new, a look through history, this ratio has been applied in everything from fossils to architecture — even the way plants grow can be measured by the 1.618 ratio.
This neckpiece by Danielle Fosberry is inspired by the ratio too — each curve conforms to the graceful spiral of the 1.618 ratio.
Each piece in the DF collection is tailored and structured but pulled together in a minimalistic manner. Each piece can be styled on its own while still being very versatile.
These earrings and the crystal balls are inspired by the Harmonic Series, a mathematical sequence that replicates the complementary overtones of music.
With a fashion background and a passion for science and math, Danielle has emerged as a DESIGNER TO FOLLOW — because she is going big places (and taking us along for the ride!) while educating through fashion! Her brand is futuristic, conceptual, while staying true to the aesthetics and principles of minimalism — 3 things I’m all about!!
… an extension of my interests and what I believe the market is missing. These are pieces and concepts I’d like to see. For me, it’s using modern technology. Taking the old and new — interpreting into new local esthetics/concepts.
From a young age, my curiosity has led back to design. Fashion has grown for me to be a experience — everyday life is a fashion perspective.
What I love about her designs are their simultaneous embrace of futurism and functionality, which has produced amazingly conceptual pieces. Each becomes iconic, and each has a history, so that for every piece I fall in love with, I get to hear an incredible tale that leaves me better educated, I’m a BIG fan of science and math, so when I see a designer like Danielle Fosberry, I am at a loss of words at the impact on the fashion industry I know she’s making.
