When it comes to swimsuits I have some expectations. I want comfort, smart style, versatility, and most of all great quality at an affordable rate — this is usually an impossible combination to get and let’s be real, shopping for the perfect swimsuit can get depressing. From the different ranges of sizes and the frustration of “uuuuummmm I thought I was tinier than that -_-” to the plenty restrictions of the fabric, “uuummm tell me again why I can’t get my swimsuit wet?” — those are my moments, can you relate?

 

Thanks to Creeds Collective, they introduced me to the B. Side of life — where fitness meets fashion. An athletic-friendly line for women by women hasn’t existed until now. Although I’m a fan of Nike and Lulu Lemon — I can’t say the founder knows exactly what I want cause she can relate, because he can’t. And when it comes to getting athletic — pool games and I are friends!

Creating my own style has always been very important to me — when it came to swimwear I was all about the mismatched top vs bottoms but even that has an ending phase and I met mine. Instead, I started looking for 2 piece swimsuits that clearly belong in a pair but aren’t just the same print or color for top and bottom. This year, as Jeff and I were traveling from the Caribbean to the beaches in LA, I found myself packing at least 5 different pairs of swimsuits each time. I ended up using no more than 2 in my week long trips. I’m comfortable with familiarity so I need a suit to meet my versatile lifestyle, and each of B. Sides suits gives me that. They’re double sided, the strings can be tied many ways, and the colors are so bold it’s screams fun in the sun!

I’m also a light packer, so having things with me I don’t use irritates me — I could have substituted that extra space for a pair of shoes, light jacket, or better yet — I could’ve used that space for a gift to bring home to someone.
