Beauty Tricks Every Girl Should Know
If you’re like me and you don’t have the hands of a talented professional artist, it’s wise to use make-up tricks that are a combination of pretty colors and easy hacks that will create illusions like a makeup magician.
1. During allergy season I like to keep my eye make-up minimal, or at times, non-existent. I turn to pretty Spring color lipsticks and stains to do the job.
I’m a Refinery29 addict. I love their catchy headlines and their use of lots of appealing images. This Korean product, Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips Talk, is next on my list and I love how the writer shares her experience in a quirky but funny way.
Here’s a practical trick by Peggy Wang from Buzzfeed: “to avoid getting lipstick on your teeth, stick your finger in your mouth and pull it out.” You’ll notice a ring around your finger, just to think, that could of been smudged on your teeth!
And to apply flawlessly try this:
2. Keep your blush and bronzer minimal, remember you’re not a doll and this isn’t a rosy cheek contest. My favorite type of blush is one with a slight shimmer because when you’re outdoors and the sun is shinning on your face, it causes an illuminating effect that I love.
3. If you’re suffering from dark circles under your eyes, concealer is probably your go to, but many people apply it wrong. Please follow this method for a more even looking result:
Natural remedies like resting cucumber and tea bags are a great way to reduce the dark circles.
4. Using a business card to apply mascara is one of the greatest mascara tricks of all time! I always hate gong back and fixing the smudges I make with the black wand.
You can also use baby powder!
Between applying each coat of mascara, dip a Q-tip in baby powder and run across your lashes, focusing on the tips. The second coat will attach to the powder for a longer, fuller look.

5. Eyeshadows are one of the most awesome ways you can get creative with your make-up but it’s also one of the major ways you can look like a clown. One of my favorites this Spring is white and shimmery options. Use the shimmer eyeshadow in the corner of your eyes, it will help dazzle your audience with that extra twinkle in your eye.
To make your eye shadow pop more try outlining your lid with a white pencil for a base. A light concealer will also help create the effect.
To me, I would even keep it like that and pair my look with a pink lip stain and Spring dress. I’d even have fun with a colorful mascara to top my look.
6. Here’s how to apply perfume so the scent will last longer:
Here’s a extra DIY tip, screw the chemicals and marketing schemes for fuller lips. Do this yourself using your already favorite lip products.
Until next time <3 xoxo
