Save a Mighty Mutt
Welcome to Mighty Mutts! The team at WtD got to play with some cute pups and you can too!
We are an all-volunteer, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the strays of New York City. Each day, thousands of stray dogs and cats are forced to live in our city’s streets and alleyways, crawling about these desolate areas for refuge. Alone, starving, and in desperate need of veterinary care, these poor creatures struggle day by day for their very lives. Most are not spayed or neutered and will go on to bring many other puppies / kittens into their harsh world. Mighty Mutts is driven to help change all of this.
Check out my interview with Tori Simmons below, who has been with the Rescue for over a year. She shares with us the benefits of being a volunteer. Just click play on the audio and enjoy!
Meet Maddox!
This 2-year old sweetie was recently rescued from a high-volume shelter. He is an absolute heart breaker, who loves to snuggle and give hugs. Maddox is a young guy who will need a bit of training, but will surely blossom into the perfect pup.

Meet Trotsy! A country girl at heart.
…a sweet 5-year old Shepherd mix who was found as a stray. Smaller than your typical Shepherd, Trotsy is a petite beauty with an affectionate nature. Trotsy did not come to us with much training, but she loves treats, and has already learned sit and down.
