A New York Must Have: The Pastrami Queen on the Upper East Side
We all know my rants about food and how passionate I am when it comes to establishments that do it right. This week I followed my taste buds to Pastrami Queen on the Upper East Side, a NY must have.
The 30 year old restaurant is perfect for pick up, delivery or sit down. It’s classically New York sized with limited but doable seating. The staff is friendly and helpful.
There’s no surprise why they hold the voted #1 Pastrami Sandwich title. With their meat braised on premises, they proudly call themselves the “Jewel of Delis” and though the prices are higher than usual, the quality is worth it. Their overstuffed Kosher sandwiches are a hearty meal made to satisfy. For the best sandwiches on the Upper East Side this place is your treasure!
Hands Down! This is the best braised classic pastrami in the city!
Location:
1125 Lexington ave (78th street and Lex) New York, NY 10075
Telephone: (212) 734-150
I did not hold back! You can taste the freshness in every bite and I definitely reccomend pairing your meal with Dr. Brown’s Classic Black Cherry Soda. Also try their delicious Matzo ball soup, you won’t regret it.
Follow me along on more of my eating adventures around the Upper East Side!
If you’re on the Lower East Side, take yourself to the infamous When Harry Met Sally Katz’s Deli and DO NOT lose your ticket.
I’ll be exploring a number of places weekly and if you have any recommendations please comment them below!
