Winter Foods: A Recipe Made to Impress
Fall creeped up on us and Winter is arriving with lots of new delicious meals.
The seasons come with great combinations of new fruits and veggies. Just like new fashion wear comes back so do these delicious meals.
Squash is one of the most used and festive for decorations. Think pumpkin and Halloween!
Here is a quick and easy dish to impress your family & friends this holiday season, shared by the incredible Chef D’Amico. Head Chef of the famous Gemma Restaurant at the Bowery Hotel and trained by Certified Master Chef Wolfgang Michael.
Chef D’Amico stresses the importance of the quality. He says that the best dishes are high in quality and simple in ingredients.
Chef D’Amico exclusively gave WTD two great recipes and below is one of the two. Enjoy!
Zuppa Di Pesce:
An Italian favorite, best with a nice red wine and Frank Sinatra playing in the background.
Cook time is less than 15 minutes.
Prep time can take up to 15 minutes.
The great thing about this dish is that the ingredients are simple and based upon your liking.
What you need:
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Fish or Shellfish. The great thing about this is you can add any seafood you like the most such as; sea scallops, octopus, mussels, shrimp and/or calamari.
- Chopped garlic
- Red or yellow onion
- Tomato sauce
- Parsley
If you like it spicy you will also need:
- red pepper flakes
If you like your veggies include:
- Green Beans
- Carrots
Green beans are great with this dish because they obsorbe the sauce and becomes part of it. Carrots provide the same
Directions:
This dish can be paired with many things; pasta, rice or potatoes. And definitely include some bread =)
