Best Underground Cheese Spot in NYC
Get Cheese educated!!
New Yorkers know that between Union Square and the Flat Iron District much can be discovered. Yesterday I was introduced to cheese lovers heaven. An underground spot with the best homemade cheeses.
Beecher’s underground restaurant, The Cellar.
Beecher’s on the corner of 20th street and Broadway. A great spot for friends and co-workers with great food and drink selections. Check out their Happy Hour fun time =)
Their “World’s Best” Mac N’ Cheese is out of this world. Each cheese has a special flavor. The cream is just right and cheesy.
The store is no secret, Beecher’s Cheese is made on the premises and can be seen through the glass windows. The gem that lays below is in the cellar. Once you pass by the host and down the dungeon like stairs, you’re greeted by another friendly face who directs you to cow hyde covered seats. The lighting is dark with unique light bulbs hanging down from the ceiling.
A New York must try!
Our server Elbert was very helpful and kind. He knew what we would like and delivered with 100% satisfaction. I love the way he explained the cheeses and great happy hour infused drinks.
Beecher’s flagship is a classic and one of their most well-known products.
My favorite was the Sunlight creamy goat cheese with jam and crackers. Yum Yum!
NYC you have out done yourself and I applaud you!
