Grounded! The Organic Coffee and Tea House in NYC
Change is in the air! Embrace the goodness of the bean ✌
New York offers many hidden treasures, each valuable as its own. With so much diversity, it’s no surprise how much variety the city contains. Not only is it the melting pot of people but also food.
I stumbled into Grounded, a local café in the heart of the West Village. A perfect place to get some writing done. As I look around I notice artsy paintings on canvases by local artists, some have detailed descriptions with price tags. It’s a great way to support your favorite artists and be a tool to their success. It always starts somewhere, right!?
The tone is very relaxing and as packed as it is with every seat taken on a casual weekday afternoon, the place is set up in a way that one can still draw privacy from such a crowd. I think the plants help with that decoy. And even the way the seating areas are set up. People are having meetings, reading, and doing just as I am, writing. I think I found another place in NYC worth becoming a regular at.
The food is amazing. Most of their product is farmers grown and organic, a quality I trust. As a cheese fanatic, I absolutely love their raw milk cheddar cheese which comes weekly from the Amish in Lancaster County, PA. Their sweets are baked with loving care by Jen & Charlie at This Chick Bakes and I’m told their homemade breakfast burritos make a great, healthy meal, anytime of the day.
But wait there’s more.. Much more! As amazing as the food sounds (especially the cheese hhmmmmmm cheeeeeseeeee) the cafe is best known for its signature teas, coffees and real fresh fruit smoothies. The selection is almost unreal.
Their Nutella Latte is incredible. So unique that you can literally smell the taste as you bring the cup up to your face.
