To kick off New York Fashion Week 16′, I attended Pyer Moss Spring/Summer 16′ Ready-To-Wear Collection. Designer, Kerby Jean-Raymond never disappoints with his collection! One of my favorite ready to wear designers, I’m no stranger to his mixed textures and tailored aesthetic.

However, this year his collection voice had a different tone. His collection began with a presentation of police brutality. A 10 min short film of our nation’s flaw of police violence and murder against African Americans. It’s amazing to see designers use their positions to bring awareness to issues as such!

This year women and men dominated the runway with apron dress shirts, leather trousers & pops of color! Asymmetrical overalls, fixed damaged tees dresses & double breasted Blazers such to name a few favorites!
